Boscombe Spa
We were requested by our client to design
and build a curved covered car port in steel,
26metres long and 6metres wide, with the
minimum amount of posts possible. The
structure needed to be free standing but the
water had to run off into a structural gutter
on the rear wall. Because the client was
looking for a specific curve this was more
complicated than first thought, but the
design team with the help of a structural
designer were able to achieve the desired
result. The structure was primed and
painted, with timber cladding on the posts
to protect the paintwork on both cars and
structure.
